𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀: 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸!
On Saturday, we started measuring at 3pm and worked until 11.30pm – and that was just to complete 21km and 11km! By Sunday, we were back on the road at 5.30am, working until 1pm to measure the BIM 42km, 21km, and 10km routes. Rain, heat, and sweat – we experienced it all! This is not a stroll in the park, okay?
Measuring routes is serious business. We use the Jones Meter, which has to be calibrated up to 15 times before we can even start measuring. Every kilometer, we stop, take notes, and snap photos of the location and distance. It’s all about precision – no shortcuts here!
